Growing up, my mom was a mortgage broker and eventually she managed all brokers on Vancouver Island for one of the big banks. I remember filling out applications for her after school, starting at about 8 years old. Combine that with a father that managed several real estate offices and you have a boy with inherent interest in the industry! My older sister, Gillian, became a broker when I was in high school and again, I found myself helping her with client databases for a little extra spending money. After attending university with a focus in math, I decided to give brokering a try myself. Several years later, I’m glad that I did, and I couldn’t be happier with the path I’ve chosen!
